Assam Dominated by the mighty Brahmaputra River, the state of Assam is the gateway to the northeastern part of India. Endowed with lush greenery, Assam India is renowned for Assam tea, silk, petroleum resources and rich flora and fauna, the world famous one horned rhinoceros and other rare species of wildlife on the verge of extinction. The dense forests of Assam are home to numerous animals and birds and one of the last wild habitats for the Asian elephants. *Kaziranga National Park, *Bramhaputra River Cruise, *Kamakhya Devi Temple, *Nabagraha Temple, *Umananda Temple, *Basistha Temple, *Bihu Dance, are the major tourist attractions in Assam.
Arunachal Pradesh Tawang, in Arunachal Pradesh, is the birthplace of the sixth Dalai Lama, Tsangyang Gyatso, an unconventional one known for his love of wine, women, and poetry. His poetry is widely read among Tibetans even today. Also, Bum la pass, a little ahead, is where the current Dalai Lama, 14th in succession, entered India, escaping from Tibet. *Madhuri Lake, *Bum La Pass, Sela Pass, * Jaswantgarh, *Tawang Monastery, *Kiwi Orchids &*Light & Sound show at War Memorial, are the major tourist attractions in Arunachal Pradesh.
MeghalayaMeghalaya is one of the most visited destination of north east, because of the diversity of natural aesthetic bounty here. It is considered the hotspot of all things cultural and natural existing in sheer harmony with the constructive human efforts. To date, it remains one of those rare locations that can be visited all year round and still over compensate every travellers thirst for a fulfilling retreat. *Mawlynnong Village, *Double Decker Living Root Bridge, *Don Bosco Museum, *Umiam Lake, *Mawsmai Cave, *Elephant Falls, are the major tourist attractions in Meghalaya.
